How I Became an Elder

Anchorage April 8, 2016 – I became an elder around the turn of the century at a Treaty Council meeting in Chickaloon. I would have been in my late 50’s. The time came for serving food, and of course they said “Elders first. Elders to the head of the line.” So I’m standing there watching the elders line up and one of them motions me over. “Come over here and get in line. You can get away with it.” It was as simple as that.Ethnosphere
